Hall-Stairs-Landing Repaint

15/12/2019 | By Tim More

A nice colour choice – Manor House Gray No. 265.

I have recently completed the redecorating of this hallway, stairs and landing in Eden Village, Sittingbourne.

There was quite a bit of preparation to do before any painting could be carried out.
This ranged from raking out old decorators caulk which had been applied over the existing paint finish (not a wise thing to do), to making good areas of ceiling and walls that weren’t filled correctly by the previous home owner.

After all the preparation was completed and the relevant adhesion primers used, the ceiling was painted.
Then on with the woodwork paint which was Tikkurila Intact 8 in white. Before I forget, the doors on this home were not painted as they are changed in the near future.
The Tikkurila Intact 8 leaves an amazingly smooth finish which was liked by the client and myself.

All the walls in this area were finished in Tikkurila Optiva Durable matt emulsion matched to the Farrow & Ball colour – Manor House Gray No. 265.

The floors were protected with Packexe which is so much better to use than dust sheets in many cases.
I like to keep your home as clean as can be for the duration of my time there.
