Amazing Kitchen and Snug repaint in Borough Green.
Lovely kitchen wall colour – Regal Matte in Paper White.
I have been working at this particular property since 1989. This time around though, it was for the newer owners (who I have been working for, for nearly nine years now).
They wanted to completely revamp their kitchen. I didn’t want them to, as I loved the existing kitchen that my previous client had me decorate in that same home. They liked the American New England style and colours.
My current clients like the minimalist look as you will see in the gallery below.
The builder applied a first coat of Wickes paint to the newly plastered ceiling . I wasn’t impressed with the plastering or the paint.
Anyway, I was keen to get cracking on this project so whipped around the newly plastered walls with some hessian sack to denib. Then on with some Benjamin Moore Sure Seal primer.
The Sure Seal highlighted how bad the new plastering actually was on the walls.
This was pointed out to my client and I had the go ahead to skim coat the walls prior to any further coats being applied.
I have to say, this wasn’t the builders usual plasterer, thank goodness.
The builder was the fella who fitted all of the cabinetry, worktops etc and he did an outstanding job. If I ever catch his name I will happily recommend him and his work.
Anyway, I waffle on again.Back to the job.
After I had prepared the plaster to the standard of “ready for decorating” it was onwards with the painting.
The ceiling had two coats of Benjamin Moore Ceiling Paint – Super White.
The walls had two full coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Matte – Paper White (OC-55).
The woodwork had one coat of Benjamin Moore High Hide Primer and two coats of BM Aura Satin – Super White.
